Some time ago my friend Merel, from Told You So, sent me a message from Fuji Instax that I would definitely like! And so it was… Fuji Belgium was looking for an Instax Ambassador 2017! To compete for the title, every participant had to present a creative project using an Instax Mini 70. Hereby I present my project to organize your shoes in an original en stylish way.

When organizing your wardrobe and dressing room, we all have the same challenge. How to realize a clean and minimal look when all your shoe boxes have different shapes and colors? In order to create harmony, I started to collect a lot of uniform white boxes to keep my shoes in. Afterwards I made these cool instax pictures to label the boxes. To create a white background I used a large sheet of white paper. If you don’t have that at home, you can use the bathtub as well as a white infinite background!

Here they are… the second series of the ‘The Fresh Light-greeting cards’, in sparkling New Years theme! They are printed on premium quality recycled paper, and come with recycled kraft envelopes.

Holiday season is finally here, and we are counting down the days until Christmas: picking out a Christmas tree, decorating the house, listening to Christmas music, strolling around the city for gift shopping and enjoying the Christmas lights. But most of all I like the greeting cards we all write to our loved ones with the warmest wishes! Can’t wait to open the mailbox and find the most beautiful cards in it.

This summer season I had the pleasure to photograph a series of christening parties. I loved to meet all the lovely families, and being part of their special day, celebrating their little ones. Capturing the joy and happiness of these moments gives me a warm feeling. After editing the photographs, I love to put them together in a book. I believe that’s the best way to keep your memories, and it’s so much more fun to turn the page of an album, then to click on a screen. Don’t you think so? I prefer premium quality albums with uncoated paper, and a linen cover with dust jacket.

This book illustrates the wonderful garden party to celebrate the christening of baby girl Charlotte, and her sister Juliette’s 3rd birthday. It was colorful feast, with smiling faces, beautiful dresses,  fresh flowers, banners and balloons, tasty food, sparking wine and fresh lemonades.  For the kids there was a huge birthday cake, homemade popcorn, a piñata, and a cute retro carousel to make it an unforgettable day! Sarah Van Hove from Sourire was taking care of the party organization, and Nathalie (owner of the beautiful interior shop Perfect Living) was the warmest host. She both did a great job!

Hereby I present you the result of the flower arranging workshop with Marijke Boesmans from Huis Otto. I loved to play with this beautiful flowers and I’m really happy with my first bouquet. What do you think about it?

Last saturday I went to Vilvoorde to spend the afternoon at Firma, where Huis Otto was hosting a flower arranging workshop. The lovely Marijke Boesmans shared her passion for wild flowers, and learned us how to arrange, cut and compose a lush field bouquet. She brought a beautiful selection of flowers freshly picked from her own field. We had a lot of fun arranging the flowers, and all went home happily with our own creation. Curious how it turned out? I will share the result later this week! When Merel from Told You So asked me to join her at the press launch of the new fragrance of Byredo, I didn’t had to think twice. The swedish brand founded by Ben Gorham was fascinating me for a while with it’s minimal graphic design and wonderful bottles. It was a pleasure to discover the different perfumes, and be taken on a journey of memories. Every scent is based on a memory and tells a story. For the launch of their new fragrance ‘Super Cedar’, Byredo teamed up with exclusive perfume shop Senteurs d’Ailleurs in Brussels and Belgian flower artist Mark Colle, known from the fashion shows of Jil Sander, Dior and Dries Van Noten. He created this lovely bouquet which perfectly matches the new ‘Super Cedar’ fragrance.

It’s hard to believe the second week of this new year is already coming to end… Time to wish you all a wonderful year! Hope it brings you whatever you are dreaming of!

What do you think of a creative start, with this DIY letter banner? Start by gathering your supplies. All you need is a piece of paper, a knife or scissors, a hole punch and a cord. Print out the letters or draw them on the paper, and cut them out. Then punch a hole in the corners, and string them all together using a cord or ribbon. You can personalize your banner using colored paper or why not stamp the letters on fabric.

Hang up your banner, and crack a bottle of champagne! Happy New Year!
